Jag vill ha mera kaffe. Jag vill ha mera kaffe. Ge mig mer kaffe nu! Jag vill ha mera kaffe. Vi far till Italien igen. Där så kan vi fylla koppen igen. Ja, vi far till Italien igen. There we can fill the cup again. Yes, we go to Italy again. There we can fill the cup again, for three crowns.

about

When making music, you are always extremely into the latest music you made so that you tend to think it's probably among the best you ever made (more or less ;-). But this time I'm more convinced that this feeling will hold on, that this album will be one of my own favorites in the long run. I jump around and dance like crazy when I listen to it. I like it. I hope you will too.

In November 2014 I had made a new tune called "Jump Like Crazy". I decided to release it under a different name than "Boray" to see what happened. I released a total of 4 tunes under the name "Polly Phony". Not much happened.

Polly Phony is a play on words. "Polyphony" is a musical term which means multiple voices. In music composition, it means several melodies playing together. With (old) synthesizers, it means the number of simultaneous voices the machine is capable of. Polly is a female name. Phony means fake or fraud. So Polly Phony would be a fake girl, which suited my intention to release music incognito.

As a front figure, I used a doll with colored hair (as seen on the back of the CD cover). A funny coincidence is that a couple of months later, a new pop trio appeared in the Swedish "Melodifestivalen" called "Dolly Style", dressed as dolls with different colored hair and one of them named "Polly". I thought: What??? (Today my daughters are big fans of Dolly Style by the way).

After about a year and a half, I started to make music again, now back as "Boray". When time went on and the album started to take form, Polly Phony got to be the name of the album instead of the artist name.

With this album, my family has taken a bigger part than before. Here are the album credits:

Anders Persson (me): Music, text, all instruments, vocals, whistling, recording, mixing, album cover photos and design etc.

Hannah Persson: Text and vocals, help with titles.

Elin Persson: Text and vocals, help with titles.

Emma Persson: Vocals.
( Emma wasn't even born when some of the tunes were made).

This album, Polly Phony by Boray, was released in Nov 2016. Two years after "Polly Phony" released "Jump Like Crazy".

Oh, the tune "No Syrup" was featured as the title theme tune for the modern Commodore Vic-20 computer game "Pulse" by Sven Michael Klose. It's played as a sample directly from the computer's tape drive. A technical wonder on this pioneer home computer of the 80s (for those who understand).
